You may have heard about Thrive Causemetics around the interweb; however, if you haven’t I’ll be here to review a few of their products & give you some insight to this brand. I was sent over a few products specifically for reviewing; but my opinion will remain 100% honest, no matter what.

About The Brand

20464518_10154761776188016_1538132247_nKarissa Bodnar is the founder & CEO whom started this brand when she had lost her friend, Kristy to cancer at the young age of 24. It was because of her friend that inspired her to start this brand with a purpose. For every product that is purchased, they donate a product to help empower a woman who’s thriving through cancer or domestic violence. I think this is such an awesome concept for a brand considering I’ve lost many loved ones due to cancer & have also dealt with domestic violence myself firsthand. Thrive Causemetics is vegan, 100% cruelty free & none of their products use parabens, sulfates or toxins.

Product Review

Karissa & the team at Thrive were kind enough to send me an eyeshadow palette, eyeliners & an eye brightener to test out & review for all of you. All products can be found on thrivecausemetics.com (I love the word play on their name; so clever!)

20504262_10154761776153016_99735988_n.jpgThey sent me their Focus Eyeshadow Palette (#2) which is $36USD. It comes with 4 eyeshadows, in both matte & shimmer finishes. This palette is is vegan, cruelty free, as well as; paraben, sulfate & latex free. The shadows themselves are extremely smooth, pigmented & blend well. There’s very little kickback or fallout when using a brush. This particular palette comes in two variations; #1 has bronze, gold & brown tones and #2 has grey, midnight blue & plum tones. If you’re someone who loves a natural, simple every day kind of look this palette would probably be great for you. As for the packaging, it comes in a very sturdy plastic container, with a large high quality mirror – which would be ideal for traveling!

Along with the palette, they also sent me their Brilliant Eye Brightener which is $24USD. These come in two different shades; Stella which is a champagne shimmer & Aurora which is a rose gold shimmer. This particular product is meant to give you that brightening effect either on the inner corner, waterline or under your brow. I feel like it gives a subtle but noticeable look & lasts all day. For your own convenience it comes equipped with a built-in sharpener. This product is vegan, cruelty free as well as free from parabens, sulfates, latex & petrochemical.

These come in 7 different shades including: Lauren (matte black), Ella (matte brown), Hoda (matte slate gray), Nalie (shimmery chocolate brown), Talia (matte navy), Giuliana (shimmery plum) & Lizzie (matte moss green). These eyeliners are extremely creamy, pigmented & glide on with ease. I haven’t yet tried them on my eyes (since I don’t usually wear eyeliner) but I feel like they’d last a long time because when I swatched them they were kind of hard to get off. Just like their other products; these too are vegan, cruelty free as well as free from parabens, sulfates & latex.

Overall Thoughts

Overall, I think this brand is quite unique – I love that if you buy a product, they donate one to a woman who’s battling cancer or going through domestic abuse. After looking through their website; I noticed you can purchase products one time or you can set it to repurchase x amount of months with free shipping. So if you end up loving a product, you could make it as a subscription; rather than buying it one at a time. I love what this brand stands for & I think the founder is an amazing woman for wanting to help women in need. Thank you again Karissa & Karly for sending over these products for me to review!

I was sent these products but my opinions & thoughts will always remain 100% honest & my own.
